My favorite of the ETF brews I have tried, and I try all I tin. Very complex mash, though non surprisingly when you read the story of how it came to exist. If you enjoy a funky beer, this is a great one. The alcohol is hidden well. Very drink. Warms nicely. I love it.

Pours a nighttime brown, minimal head. All of the barrels present themselves in the aroma. At that place'south tart lactic character upwards front, some vinous butt, vanilla, with some dried fruit on the finish. It'south like the most complex chocolate covered sour cherry that I've always had. You don't really feel the booze either. The evolution of the different flavors and the way they present themselves on the palate is truly remarkable and is what makes this a truly smashing sour.

Could exist my favorite ETF beer I've had. Squeamish nose and coke brown color. The taste is and then complex it's hard to pinpoint all the flavors coming through. I get lots of barrel, mild funk. Some blood-red and vanilla notes come through. Adequately tart but not over bearing. Mouthfeel isn't very thick, and alcohol is almost unnoticed. Very well washed.

Information technology'due south like they say, "Good things happen to those who await". And the patience of Yazoo brewers are aptly rewarded with their stronger, darker Belgian-style ale that's undertaken an oaken, souring cocoon and transformed this young ale into a blossoming, complex and attracting adult. Never Once more should definitely happen again.

Tawny crimsons and burgundies take a dark and highly oxidized appearance with a fast dissolving froth that quickly renders the beer's advent to a burnt sherry showcase. The scent that wafts upon the nose is rife with nighttime fruit, rock fruit, crimson wine, dark candies, pepper and cellar-like funk. Sugariness to gustatory modality, its the season of charred molasses, hard processed, cola, steely caramels and scarlet juice that bounces on the front of the tongue.

And that'southward merely the start- the flavors proceed blooming with the lift of sweetness and the dispatch of sourness. Gaining fruity basis, the taste divulges black cherry, red currant, blueberry, plum, fig and prune with those stiff winey tethers of red grape, brandy and robust burgundy wine that pull the fruit and fledgling sweetness together. Balancing with a charge of fresh cracked black pepper, cumin, clove and vanilla, the ale takes a spicy and earthy tone every bit weathered oak, leather and sandalwood dry the late palate with ease.

Sour to sense of taste, the strong sense of balsamic, breaks upwardly the beer'due south medium-full body and gives the session an irresponsible sense of drinkability. Spicy, winey and dry out, the ale's drinkability is that of stronger merlot and cabernet wine but with a stern vinegar, cherry and oak display that provides a light powder-fine texture to shut. Lingering acidity is enough to squint the center and wet the mouth equally its cidery acids far outlast all other flavors in palatableness.

Exceptional sour. Odor is very aromatic. You Can pick out the ruby-red and bourbon barrels.

A muddy cola brown with a 1/ii finger tan caput that lingered for a bit. Aromas of berries, cherries, vanilla, oak, and musty wine barrels. Moderately tart with blueberry, cherry, vanilla, oak, sweet red wine, and barnyard funk. All the flavors played well together with no real dominant aspect. The big ABV was hidden except for a pleasant warming on the finish. Complex and interesting.

Information technology'south too bad that this beer will never be available again. This is a peachy endeavour. Funky and sour. The Brett is in total effect here... Alcohol is non existent... I liked this beer quite a chip.

A--Pours night dark-brown, near opaque. Lightened effectually the edges

South--Wine barrel, night fruit and musty oak

T--Tart night cherries and grapes. Slight red wine aftertaste with the butt/musty oak/funk (Brett) flavors lingering

M--Slightly thin initially. The flavors slowly coat the palate with a very pleasant aftertaste

O--Very solid effort. My expectations were not loftier going in, but I'm very pleased to say this was fashion above expectations. I would recommend.

Appearance: Nighttime burgundy with glowing red highlights, merely completely opaque to sunlight in the body. Half finger of a rusty-white bubbly head which prodigal quickly.

Aroma: Precipitous tart grape with mellow oak vanilla and a piddling bit of funk. Some pineapple, also. At that place'due south and then much here that's new to me, I really don't know how to identify it. The sharpness went abroad every bit it warmed, and became more of a mellow tartness.

Gustation: This was a whole new world to me. Not much night fruit taste other than grapes and peradventure a little plum. At that place was as well some sweetness pineapple in the gustatory modality equally in that location was in the smell. As information technology warmed, the oak and vanilla came out and tasted so smooth. I'm not sure how it'south supposed to be with these kinds of beers, but I couldn't taste any hops or malt. At that place seemed to be a a boozy woody flavor, I presume from the bourbon/JD barrels. The finish was somehow crisp and wet at the same fourth dimension with a slight and cooling alcohol feel in the pharynx and on the back of the tongue.

Mouthfeel: Medium body with a vino feel to information technology, simply information technology wasn't oily at all. It felt surprisingly refreshing.

Overall: I'thou non sure what this beer is supposed to be or how it represents information technology style (butt anile Belgian strong dark sour?) but I would definitely drink this once again. Too bad they won't be making any more of information technology. If you come across information technology give it a shot if yous tin afford it at over $5 a canteen.
